Family Warrior Weekends & Kids Serve II Camp
Camp Twin Lakes' Family Warrior Weekend (FWW) is a weekend retreat for active and retired service members and their immediate family members of ALL ages (spouses, children, parents and siblings, or alone) who have been affected in any way by combat service and the Global War on Terror. We accept families of OIF/OEF/OND (September 11, 2001) as a priority, then we would love to accept families who have been effected by MST, Gulf War, Africani and other conflicts.
Kids Serve II (KSII) is a week-long summer camp for kids who have a parent who is currently serving or has served in the U.S. Military or whose parent has fallen. These camps are held at the beautiful Camp Dream in Warm Springs, and Camp Twin Lakes Will-A-Way located in Ft. Yargo State Park in Winder.
Participants can enjoy camp programming individually and as a family with recreational activities like sports, aquatics, outdoor activities, games, arts & crafts and much more. We are excited to offer workshops and various skill-based programs in addition to outside resources once participants depart. Lodging, meals and programming for the weekend are provided. Family Warrior Weekend is provided in partnership with the Scott Rigsby Foundation.

If you're interested in registering for Family Warrior Weekend, Kids Serve II or Families of Fallen Soldiers, please click here. Please fill out all the questions as completely as possible. It is imperative that we know as much information about your family as possible so that we can safely serve you all at the retreat. There is a refundable $50 per family registration fee (if your family attends more than a few times, we ask that you contribute to assist those families coming for the first time.) If you are in need, financial assistance is available. Please know that we want as many families as possible to participate in the FWW program. We are limiting each family to attend two weekend retreats a year, with priority going to new families. If you're interested in attending more than one of the weekend retreats, we'll add your family to our waiting list and will notify you if there is space to accommodate you.
Volunteer with Family Warrior Weekend or Kids Serve II!
Our goal is to assist and educate FWW/KSII participants to support them physically, mentally and emotionally. These camps offer service members, veterans and their families a fully-accessible camp experience and new skills to take home once they leave camp. As a family, our campers have the opportunity to reconnect and rebuild their foundation in a relaxing and supportive environment.
If you're interested in volunteering, please click here. Volunteers must be at least 18 years-old. Once the application is complete, a staff member will follow up with you via email with waivers and consent forms. You must also consent to and pass a background check. Volunteer orientation will be held prior to the start of camp. Please note, completing an application does not guarantee your acceptance as a volunteer.
