Volunteers play an important role in the success of Camp Twin Lakes. From event planning and coordination to working on projects on our camp sites, volunteers provide hundreds of hours of service to Camp Twin Lakes each year. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities for groups and individuals with a variety of interests and abilities. Caring people like you who want to make an ongoing commitment to volunteerism at Camp Twin Lakes are encouraged to help out in any of the following ways:
Camp Twin Lakes TLC:
Program & Activity Assistants
Fall and Spring: Saturdays, 8:30am-6:00pm
Summer: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-6:00pm
Night Activities: 6:00pm-varies
Volunteers will assist the Camp Twin Lakes program staff and campers with a variety of activities including horseback riding, fishing, horseback, biking and more! Program volunteers must be 16 years or older, dependable, sensitive to the needs of our campers with physical and mental challenges, able to work well with people of all ages, and be comfortable working outdoors.
Luggage Distribution- Sundays in the summer
Luggage Collection- typically Fridays in the summer
Volunteers are needed on the first day of Camp to distribute luggage to cabins and on the last day of Camp to help collect luggage from the cabins. Age minimum is 12 years old.
Housekeeping & Grounds-keeping Assistants- Flexible Schedule
Volunteers are needed to assist in keeping our facilities clean and beautiful. Volunteers may help with projects such as laundry, regular cleaning of the cabins and main buildings, deep cleaning between camp groups, as well as weed-eating and other facility work. Age minimum is 16 years old.
Volunteer TLC Days
Volunteers are needed to assist with work projects on weekend afternoons during the fall and spring months. Projects may include staining, cleaning, painting, landscaping, building, and other maintenance around our camp sites. Age minimum is 12 years old. Volunteers are needed to staff various fundraising events throughout the year in and around the Atlanta area. Age minimum varies. Sign up online by clicking the VolunteerSpot button below.
Administrative Assistance- Mondays-Fridays, 9:00am-5:00pm
We always need volunteer help in our three offices: Atlanta, Rutledge, and Winder. Volunteers may make phone calls, assemble mailings, assist with data entry, and help with other office work. Age minimum is 17 years old. Sign up online by clicking the VolunteerSpot button below.

Camp Counselors- Please check our web calendar for dates
Cabin counselors are needed throughout the summer to volunteer through our 40+ Camp Partners. Volunteers must be available for the entire duration of the camp program and will be required to go through a separate application and interview process through the specific Camp Partner as well as attend pre-camp orientation. Age minimums vary.
